All will wither in time,
As the clock flies by,
The plants grow yellow and die.
All will wither in time,
As the clock flies by,
The sky,
Grows black and dies.
Nothing is safe from time,
Your heart will stop and die.
All shall fall in time,
With the city corrupt,
It falls and dies.
All will wither in time,
History forgotten,
Weak and Rotten,
And will die,
All will wither in time,
My words will fall,
With nothing to rhyme,
All will wither in time.
Your poem just slays me, Yash! Thanks! A wallop of the reality of life today in 2021! Good poem!
With Covid surging, my elderly parents needing help, tornadoes & global warming, and my friends who are losing their spouses and partners to Covid, ….well, suffice it to say, could you possibly write a really calming poem for me, perhaps reality is too real?
Missing a dose of joy bubbles as we head into 2022. But, I get it if the joy bubble doesn’t happen! Meanwhile, I’ll attempt to compose my own poem to uplift my spirit, and if I do, I will share it with you.
