I get woken up early,
By my owners,
But I’m not a moaner,
So out I go,
For a walk,
“Die cat die!”
“Hi mailman hi!”
“Why is this dog so shy?”
That walk was shorter than usual,
Hey, my owners on a call,
Why not bite my squeaky toy?
I wonder why I’m in the time out hall?
Oh boy, It’s lunch!!!
I refuse to munch,
Without a treat,
So give me something good to eat!
I think I’ll go take a nap,
Wait you are?
Never mind, I’ll disturb you!
I will bark for half an hour,
When you scold me, I will whimper and cower,
Then you will comfort me and give me lots of pets,
And by that time, you would have forgotten to take me to the vet!
Time to chase the cat!
She broke the lamp not me!
And by the way, your shoe?
It is definitely not wet because of pee!
Hooray it’s dinner!
What a long day it’s been!
I can’t wait to get dragged out of the house,
And do it all again!
Yash,
An honest poem. A dog’s life well captured. I am particularly tickled by –
Never mind, I’ll disturb you!
I will bark for half an hour,
Keep up the good work, mone.

Yash, this poem brought a big smile to my face! I am sending your blog to my 11 year old grandson, soon to be 12 yrs old. He has a case of Covid now, but he’s doing ok and he’s quarantining from school. Since he is in charge of the 2 dogs at his house, I think he’ll love your fun sense of humor! Thanks!!
